I am a second year Master’s student in the General Psychology program at The Catholic University of America. My interests include family/child relationships, specifically understanding family influences on children’s socioemotional development. I am also interested in the working with ethnic minority populations and understanding the role of culture in socioemotional development and mental health within these populations. I have prior experience working with ethnic minority youth communities in a bullying prevention program setting. Currently, I am working on two different projects during my time at Catholic University. The first project I am working on is a project focused on understanding and coding marital interactions with Dr. Marcie Goeke-Morey. The second project that I am involved in is with Dr. Sandra Barrueco focused on bilingual preschool-aged children’s STEAM development. This project is currently in the primary stages of data collection.
